this is a momentous moment we shan’t forget.
it was definitley a performance we weren’t that confident of. then again, we didn’t actually see it first hand. Haha. i can honestly say that at moments after our performance, while watching the rest to perform, one can’t avoid being disheartened. the performances in level 2 were amazing. they gave us one hell of a fight. i mean, seriously? UV lights? and these fantastic concepts? i would’ve never thought of doing that, and actually pulling it off.
but when the judge mentioned something that agrees with what our performance was aiming for, i was hopeful. then you know it, 3C was declared champions. it was pure bliss; even dreamlike. it was a totally unexpected outcome of us coming on top.
countless saturdays of hours and hours of practices, creative-drainage actually paid off. and don’t get me started on the stress and pressure it caused on us. everything paid off and i’m glad it did.
*people can talk smack all they want. it just goes to show how people can be manipulative, hurtful and envious. well it doesn’t even matter now.
CONGRATULATIONS, 3C! I SERIOUSLY LOVE YOU GUYS.
SABAYANG PAGBIGKAS LEVEL II CHAMPIONS.(0809)
SERIOUSLLY.
horray for the undergrads having no classes (the seniors had to take some test thingy for college.). boo for still having to wake up early. then horray again for the successful Sabayan Practice.
i took the bus to school. then went to the classroom to get the bamboos for practice that’s until manong guard and ms. abuyen shooed me away from the classroom. people started to arrive, and when the guard shooed as away again, we decided to wait for people elsewhere. nagmukha kaming tribo sa daladala naming bamboo. welcoming committee ba? Haha.
when everybody we’re suppose to wait for was there we went to the beach house. the girls went there via Lisette’s ride (thanks for the coffee-fix, Sette, you seriously have so much moola) while the rest of us walked. the weather was just perfect for walking.
after a few minutes of standing outside the beach house and causing a freakin’ scene, people started to arrive.
the practice was more than successful. a whole lot of people arrived. (nevermind the people who didn’t) the fact that we got everything done was one hell of an improvement.
then swimming party after. wooots. Haha. swimming with those guys was refreshing. i never believed that i missed swimming that much. Haha. how can you not enjoy swimming when your swimming in a gorgeous beach house, playing countless games of ice-water, and just laughing your lungs out. it was bliss. Hahaha.
after a quick shower (conserve water, shower together, right?), off to the other house we go. then after a while, Chi’s ride arrived.(which also meant my ride also arrived. Haha.) it was a pretty interesting ride. it was just full of kwentos from Trixie’s mom. right, Chi? ilan nga ba? i think i lost count. Hahaha.
I can live like this forever.

seriously.
yesterday was a blast. despite sleeping up at 1:30am, and waking up a couple of hours later (on a day which that there weren’t any classes), i still had fun with our “bamboo-hunting” at Pasig.
i asked my lolo to drive me to BHS, where’d i meet up with the rest of the sabayan leaders. i basically got there at the exact same time as Earl, so for the whole time we were there, we just kept ranting about a bunch of stuff. (most often than not was the olympics, 2024 Philippine olympics (yeah, right.) and that guy with the funny bike-racer outfit going on) it was a great way to start the day. HAHA.
so when everybody was there (Jo, Lisette, Romano, Kei, Gela, Allan) we decided to go on to Greenwoods, Pasig. it was one hell of a ride. we kept laughing at the stupidest things. when we got there, actually we didn’t get there as soon as we wanted to. HAHA. let’s just say we got a little lost before we finally got to the bamboo place.
that’s why you shouldn’t be so easy to judge manong. Dogwood, anyone? HAHA.
we bought the stuff. it was a whole lot cheaper than i expected. anywhoo. we drove back to High Street to grab some grub. it was Oliver’s for lunch. they’re classic carbonara is to die for. seriously. we hoped to accomplish something for sabayan — that turned out really great. HAHA. in true nerd fashion, we deviated from the original topic and talked about something else. we ended up discussing college, school, tearjerker books and movies. so fun.
by 1pm, everybody left except me, so i decided to crawl to Fully Booked for some free reading. HAHA. i found this pretty interesting book. it was Unwind by Neal Shusterman. since my mom overslept and failed to pick me up, i had to wait for more than 2hours to picked up. good thing since i almost got halfway through the book.
after a quick stop at KK (again? HAHA) and a few errands, i was home.
i’m hoping for a fun and productive day tomorrow, friends.
horray for the beach house. HAHA.
. . .
“Why would they call them sneakers if they’re not any good sneaking in?”
whaaaat?!
seriously.
Finding the Sublime
I was a lost little boy in this whole new town;
Fearing for the inevitable that reared its ugly head;
Fearing the repercussions of lost actions.
My heart pounded as I walked through halls and halls of distant faces.
Days amongst these strangers became tedious and intolerable; thus,
Sentiments left me despite my efforts to hold on.
“I’m fine.” I often lied coyly.
I’d keep to myself everything and nothing,
For my conscience never allowed me to share any of this with anyone.
It would be too painful on my part, and a burden on theirs.
Who would’ve known that on one languorous afternoon would I find total clarity?
Who would’ve known the mere sound she uttered would begin an enduring relationship?
Strangely enough, I was drawn to her sublime presence.
The sound of her melodic voice left me in awe.
A serene calmness overcame the entirety of my being,
And right then and there, I knew she was the one.
She was to be my best friend who’d keep me safe from the evils she has come to know.
She was to love me along with all my imperfections.
She was to be the sister who I so deeply longed for.
It would be the dreams we’ve shared,
The struggles we’ve faced,
The memories we’ve made
That would forever bond us as friends.
She would be forever mine as I, hers.
And neither time nor death shall prevail against it.
the whole Harry Potter vs Twilight discussion today really got me thinking which of the two is the better series. obviously, my opinion about the matter would totally be one-sided, so my opinions are useless; let me just point out that no Twilight fangirl would even last a second to this hardcore HP fanatic. i’m just saying. HAHA.
i wanna see where all of this will end up.
Please don’t be so anxious to name the next Harry Potter series. Harry Potter emphasizes the importance of loyalty to friends and family. Twlight emphasizes the importance of slavish devotion to a controlling boyfriend and detachment from humanity. The fact that so many female readers are latching on to this as a romance ideal leaves a bad taste in my mouth. - Rebecca Mohoney
it’s her words not mine. HAHAHA.
seriously.
