i will have to ask for an apology in advance. my head’s spinning like a madman’s carousel. some of the things here might not make sense at all. and that’s a shame since i have a lot of things i have to say. i might explode if i wouldn’t have the chance to let it all out. i’m totally ecstatic about the events that took place yesterday and the earlier part of today. ( April 3 & 4, 2008 )..
MY 1A / 2B’s SUMMER OUTING!
after months of thinking and panning of possible trips, we finally came up with one and pushed through with it. if you think of it, you would never expect this to happen, being the procrastinators that we are. but still, we managed to get through that and finalize everything; from the food, to the transpo.
finally!

April 3, 2008
Me, Melissa, Romano, Enrico, Earl, Allan, Ivan, Kat, Trixie, Carlo, Roman, Rajiv decided to meet up at Treats. 7:45 was the actual call-time for everybody. some people came extremely early, while some, *ehem*, were a little late compared to everybody else. Hahaha. we left Treats at around 8:30 via convoy; using Allan and Carlo’s rides and with Earl’s family using their own ride.
the trip was extremely long to say the least. we stopped at KFC to but the food for our lunch and dinner. then headed our way through the very long and the winding road to Caliraya. good thing i decided to ride with Allan, Romano, Enrico and Mel. ironic as it is, they kinda kept me sane during the trip. with crazy conversations which distracted me from the twisty road and from throwing up. Hahaha.
we met up with the others at the Calirana dock(?) where we waited for our boat which will take us to Calirana. the trip was long but fun. it was clear that i enjoyed the water the scene so much. it was beautiful. and the weather was fantastic. after 30min. of boat travel, we finally reached the humungous Calirana! at first glance, you would never think of it as a private resort. it was tooo huge for us. Hahaha. after settling our stuff in the main Rest house, we decided to do a little bit of exploring. and find the highest place in the area where we can actually get a signal. Hahahaha.
and again, i would like to stress the ginormousnicity(?) of the place. there were 2 pools, a basketball court, countless towers overlooking the place, some sort of grotto where you could find many Filipino folk characters, Malakas and Maganda & the 3 brothers from Ibong Adarna. (with their FHM poses, i may say.) Hahaha. we found the highest tower in the resort and stayed there; enjoying the view and catching up with each other, trying to make up for the past weeks.
we went down for lunch. then we started to look for our rooms. we decided that the guys and girls would stay in the Creakside cottages so that we could be close to each other and have the round table in between the cottages to our selves. to bad it was guarded by demon dogs which never gave us a day’s rest. right Ivan? Enrico? Hahaha. we settled in and dressed up for some swimming! some of us decided to dive in the pool right away while the other’s decided to play some basketball.
we went down to the entrance for some Jet skiing! a couple of people got to ride the thing and had a blast roaming the vicinity. the girls in particular. Justine and Kat probably had the most fun. unfortunately, the guy’s didn’t have the same luck as they did. Hahahaha. the Jet ski kept dying. even to the extent that Ivan and Carlo got stuck somewhere and the manongs had to take the boat and pick them up. Hahahaha. the girls went ahead with the Speedboat. it took them a long time to get back so we decided to head back and swim.
when the Speedboat got back, the guys had their turn in it while me, Romano, and Enrico stayed behind. we just talked until they got back. when they got back, we decided not go on anymore. we weren’t feeling it anyway. too bad. i think Earl mentioned something about a sunset.
I would kill for a sunset. Hahahaha.
it was getting dark, so we headed back near the Main Rest house. we stayed near the swings which was fun. Melissa being her usual self entertained us for the most part. everybody kept laughing at everything she instantly blurts out. Hahaha. then we had dinner outside. sad to say that it was getting freakier and darker by the minute. the lake was completely invisible because of the dark. we could hardly see anything.
we went down to our cottage. the girls suddenly left and left us all alone. which meant..
NIGHT SWIMMING! Hahahaha.
it was freakishly late. but we still decided to go; seeing that we don’t have anything better to do. it was great. i had so much fun. they kept making up these ridiculous dives. The Helicopter? Hahaha. we played Cops & Robbers for a while and decided to play Ice-Water instead. of course adding our own little twist in it; making it into: Ice-Water: Under the Sea Edition. Hahaha. my head was pounding after the game and so is everyone else’s. after scaring ourselves out the pool, we went back to the Cottage, got our stuff, headed back to the pool area to shower, dressed up, then the party began. Hahaha.
April 4, 2008 (midnight)
we met up with the girls and started the party. Hahaha. and by party i mean poker, junk food, and boggle sessions. after poker, they decided to bring everybody in to play 123 Pass. we were loud beyond measure. i was so sure that people would just come bursting out their rooms and start shouting at us. Hahahaha. luckily, there wasn’t anyone. and we continued on shouting even cursing with a game of Bullsh*t where i won 3rd. yey for me. the remaining players gave up and decided to call outs. the remaining guys, except Earl who tried to sleep in the other room and failed, and since Enrico, Trixie, Allan and Romano decided to go and have night stroll, stayed in the girl’s room for awhile. we decided to play mind games to pass the time. Kat and Justine’s midgames bamboozled everybody for a while, except me. Hahaha. i got their logic right away. but the other’s couldn’t so they resorted into hysterical shouting. Mel!
we noticed right away that the others still weren’t back yet and they were gone for a long time. more like 2+ hours. Earl kept freaking everybody out by saying something happened to them. they came back about 2:30 am. with apologies. Hahaha. all along they were near the Main Rest house just talking for the longest time. they couldn’t go back because of the demon dogs! Hahaha. after staying in the gazebo for a little while more, we decided to go back to our rooms.
we just talked and tried to sleep until about 4am. my body finally gave in and i dozed off; along with Roman and Raj. i think the others still went out and roamed the place. they came back and from there it was all a blur. i was too sleepy to mind anything anymore.
i think Kat and Justine woke me up. i was still bangag when they came in. i couldn’t sit up straight since i was still extremely sleepy. when i finally snapped out of my drowsy state and got into the conversations. i watched Ivan teaching Mel with the Rubix cube. aptly named by Romano: Lessons in Ben with Ivan. Hahahaha.
everybody started waking up and we headed to the Rest house for some breakfast. some people decided to take a bath after eating and others opted to just change. we weren’t that dirty anyway. Hahahaha.
we said our final goodbye’s to Calirana, headed back to the boat, rode the 30min trip back to the dock. then headed to Total for lunch. the trip was surprisingly quiet. everybody in our car was asleep with their own Ipods. it was quiet. it was peaceful. especially for Mel. Hahahaha. when i woke up, i was surprised to see her on my leg sleeping. and she was right, she doesn’t keep still. Hahahaha.
we had lunch at Chowking and headed back to
. . . . .
*whew!*
and one of the best days come to an end. i knew from the very beginning that this would be one great trip. how couldn’t it be. i’m having a vacation with the best people in a very beautiful place; far from all the commotion of the city. nothing could have ruined our trip. everything was perfect. and i thank God for the experience. i thank God for the people.
the best part of the trip is, is that i found the brothers and sisters i never had.
I LOVE YOU GUYS!
crazy as it may seem, this would be my second post for the night. i’m trying to catch up with the things i’ve neglected to mention in previous entries.
these past few days, i’ve been spending alot of my time with my family. last Sunday (and yes. how late am i?) some of my relatives arranged a sort of "mini-summer getaway". and by mini, i mean a trip somewhere in Pasig. a condo actually. the night that i’ve heard that we’re going on this trip, i firmly said that i will not be swimming. not that i don’t know how to swim. it’s just that i wanted to make a point that i don’t ever wan’t to involve myself in any swimming festivies that we will be having. this is sort of me trying to draw out my distain for swimming. and by swimming, i mean competitive swimming.
my mom’s trying to get me training again. and i’m sure as hell that i will not agree to doing so. because of certain experiences in the past with a certain coach, i lost my love for swimming.. competitively.
God, help me.
anyway. so back to the story. we went on our way pretty early in the morning. i don’t know why seeing that we would only be going to Pasig. so we got there, went to the room and settled everybody in. after everybody got there, everything started to unwind into this whole mess of things. the grown-ups being their usual selves started to chatter away, obnoxiously loud if i may add. the kids started running around the place. and here i’m with no one to talk to.
but you know what. i sort of liked it. the situation is like they were in your face without being totally in your face. dya’ get it? probably not. even though the grown-ups were being loud and all, i still enjoyed eavesdropping on some of their conversations. they would add these comments i wouldn’t normally associate with them. you would be surprised with the things they say. and the kids, annoying as they may seem, you just can’t help laughing at them and enjoying their company.
after eating lunch, most of them headed down to the ginormous pool while i and the "oldies" stayed. good thing that i brough my Portable DVD player and a bunch of Grey’s cds to keep me entertained. i would’ve died of boredom. but they teased me alot about being too anti-social; being in my own world and all. they even laughed at me when i would sometimes talk to myself while watching, even shriek at a couple of scenes. who wouldn’t? seeing someone plunge this huge needle in your eye would account for something, right? well, they didn’t think so and kept laughing.
when i finally got tired of bumming around, i went down for some fresh air and family time. i was kinda disappointed that i didn’t go swimming. i saw them having so much fun without me that i sort of felt alone and unwanted.
in your dreams! (this would be the part when you laugh.)
i had so much fun while i was down there, even without me being in the pool swimming with them. after a few more minutes, we decided to get ready to pack everything up and leave.
. . .
it was fun seeing everybody have a good time that day. it was one of the few moments i felt alive since summer started. being with the people that you love is a great way to enjoy your summer. i know i’ve learned that much. it saddens me that i sometimes neglect the effort that put in trying to make me smile. i just hope it will work itself out eventually.
I LOVE MY FAMILY. (Trinidad, Lleses, Calixto, Ramos, et al.) Hahaha.
PS: i hope they don’t see this. by now you should have known that i’m not so showy with that kind of stuff.
PPS: Calirana later! Woptedooo.
these past few days, while rummaging through some past entries, i’ve come to notice some alarming things about my blog. well, i’ve come to the conclusion that some, maybe most, of my entries basically suck. and i apologize for much of the grievances that my blog may have caused you. compared to my fellow blogger’s blogs, mine is total crap. i don’t have the consistency like they do when it comes to stirring a certain emotion.
do i make any sense at all? and i’ve also noticed that i suck at grammar. my choice of words are not that up to date. and don’t even get me started on my use of things like commas, colons, semicolons, and conjunctions. my gawd. it will take me forever to sort everything out.
then again, i’m not perfect. this is coming from a guy who got a freakin’ 84 in English I & II. so maybe my string of thought is not that bad. and yet again, i contradict myself from the beginning. my rambling got me nowhere and here i’m with nothing else to say.
anything but, from this moment on, every week, i will be putting up a picture which will hopefully summarize the whole week for me; whatever i experienced, felt, and the people i encountered. and this picture will be taken by none other than moi. hopefully, it will eventually be some sort of a biography. and yes, i got the idea from National Geographic.
. . .
well. that’s it. so much for new beginnings..
