i was very surprised that the school’s College Days went by without anything much happening besides the much anticipated Field Demo, Augustinian Jubilation 2008; Nature in Motion. props to Sr. Regmalos for thinking of the title. i find it very "creative". hahahaha. despite the dullness of the supposedly “fun” fair, thank God, i had the nerds around to make everything otherwise.   

February 15 ( first day of the fair )

i expected that there will be more. i would soon find out that all those aspirations of eating yummy food, and getting pumped up with all the buzz around the school, would all crumble into a big, fat pile of dullness.

Ate Thea immediately yanked me away to tell me that the Chorale was singing in the Opening of the Fair. yet again, i was in the dark room; i didn’t know whats the hell i was doing. good thing that i was a bit familiar with songs. the opening started with the Dance Troupe and the Boosters dancing their contest things. i was scared for them since they were asked to perform on stage; their performances would have to involve stunts and thus a huge chance of them falling off. good thing that no one did. hahahaha. 

after that whole thing, i basically spent the day with 2B. we watched the whole freakin’ Variety Show. loyal fans? oh yes. hahahaha. we watched a bunch of interbatch games. we ate a ton of useless food. i stomach was aching because of all the cheese and salt i took in. never again! hahahaha.

we spent most of our time in the field because the weather suits our liking. they played clue and i stared into the sky. hahahaha. i was bored out of my mind that after getting my attendance checked, i caught the first strip and went home. 

February 16 ( a freakin’ saturday which we actually needed to go to school )

it was a crazy morning for me. i was frantic because i forgot to tell the maid, the night before, that i had school today. i was scared to hell that i was gonna miss the bus. after 30 minutes of waiting, i got a bit worried that all the running around the house was for nothing. hahaha. i texted Lance to check with the bus people. luckily, i got them to pick me up.

when we arrived at school, literally nobody was there except for some early birds. we went to the grandstand to kill some time. time flew by quite slow. we just sat there listening to good music and planning for today’s events. after what seemed ages of waiting, we got up and went to our booth to have our attendance checked. 

me, Trixie, Kat, and Mikh stayed in our booth to finish our shifts while the others got some breakfast. it was very early in the morning so no one was in the mood for playing some video games. but there was this one kid who stayed up to an hour just playing with our PSP. i just sat there, staring blankly intso space, and tried not dying of boredom. so we finished our shifts, i got some breakfast, and caught up with 2B. 

we stayed near the HSSC Booth while eating some disgustingly yummy buttered popcorn, cheering on the Sophomore basketball team and witnessed them cream the Freshies in their interbatch match. after a while, all Sophomore students were called in and have our batch hour. 

it was obvious that the other sections wasn’t really in the mood, except for Lance anyways. hahahaha. our cheer was very lively and different from the other sections. we were the only ones who adopted to the theme. i had a great time playing the game with the hula hoops. hahahaha.

after freshening up, some of the nerds and i went ahead and lined up for inflatables. we sat there for hours, thinking that we would enjoy the thing after the little kids were finished with their turn. to my disbelief, we had to wait for another hour so the people there could fix “holes”; the guy refused to let us in. we decided to wait for more and convince to guy. but, he just didn’t budge. after laying there for a bajillion years, we decided to just leave, take our money back, and return later.

we went to get some lunch. once again, i was dissatisfied with the food. i wanted rice and all i got was a measly shawarma which by the way wasn’t that good as everybody kept saying. after eating, we went to the gym to meet up with Mrs. G.

i got a bit surprised that some of them were already in their “costumes”. hahahahaha.

after we got some snacks(once again?! hahaha) we went up to the Cafetorium to find some good seats. good thing that a couple of people were kind enough to let us sit with them, considering that we were like 15 in the group.

we decided to give the inflatables one more try. at least this time, we actually got in. it was hard trying to catch your breath since you were laughing your *ss off most of the time. hahahahaha. 

we practically wrecked the whole thing. hahahaha.

after a quick rest, went down for the last checking. we got snacks then headed for our seats to watch the show.

it was fun cheering the 2B people who were a part of the dance. i could imagine how embarrassed they were when we were screaming there names from the Cafetorium. hahaha. it was shorter than i expected it to be. the little kids were so cute in those animal costumes. it must have been hell for them wearing it.

good thing they didn’t ask the HS students to wear anything like that. i could only imagine. haha.

it only took the whole program to finish in an hour.

after the whole thing, we were all expecting that someone would announce that they would cancel classes on Monday. WRONG! nobody did, do it means it’s back to reality again.

i hurts me to think of all the things we have next week.

need i say more. not really since i was sworm to secrecy and they would kill me in my sleep by the time they found out something leaked out. hahahaha.

besides, i’d like to savor all the things i found out and keep it to myself.

Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody!

though you’re single like me, don’t fret.

if you were lucky like me, you would have hanged out with the best bunch of people you could find.

it was a nerve-wraking ride going to school. the moment i stepped out of the bus, i unconsciously blurted out, "Oww, sh*t." hahahaha. i immediately turned my head and saw Andz looking at me. to break the akward silence, i again said, "Happy Valentines?!". hahaha. and hurriedly ran for it to save myself from further embarressment. i realized i said those things because of this gut feeling, that something weird’s gonna happen. doing something unfamiliar(and i’m not talking about running for council), it’s where a whole lot is at risk not only to myself but also another. 

when i got up the classroom, it was very funny seeing everybody frantic about their gifts to their significant other, myself included. hahahaha. i had fun playing with Trixie’s nameless bunny. it had very sweet yet scary red eyes. hahaha. 

our Teacher’s Day program for Mrs. G and Sr. T went off with minor hitches but all in all it turned out better than most of us expected it to be. the path of rose petals pushed through and it was perfect not like last time because last time, we only threw the flowers while she was entering the room. a really big improvement. all in all everything was fantastic from Lance’s prayer to Yam’s video for them. i was a little embarrassed when it was my turn. i noticed that i had a lot of freaky hand gestures when i’m talking. hahahaha. 

we went down to the gym. the recognition(?) for the teachers went well after some very inspiring words from you-know-who. hahahahaha. as i may quote,"p*nyetaaaa!" note the added stress on the "a"s hahahahaha. after freshening up, we headed to our own private resort, a.k.a. Jr’s other house. hahaha. the ever famous beach house.

we decided to eat at Kitaro for lunch. their Tonkatsu was heavenly. i ♥ Kitaro ballers.    

we weren’t that hyped when we got there. everything started out slow and nobody was in the mood for dancing. but when everything got a whole lot juicier when we decided to play Truth or Strip. the added dares made me laugh so hard and the revelations blew me away. I feel sorry for you, Raj. hahahaha. that’s all that i can say.

the fun continued on when we played Clue, Harry Potter style. hahahaha. it was a a bit complicatied but still fun to play. everybody was ganging up on Kei, blocking and bumping his every move. hahaha. thank God, the pizza arrived. i was DEAD HUNGRY by that time and i needed a break from the game. hahahaha. after 10 years of playing time..

to my disbelief, nobody won.

when it got a little bit late and people were starting to disappear, we went to Starbucks. it was a laughtrip, to say the least. the guys were off with their heads laughing at random things and sometimes, just laughing at nothing. hahahaha. i was a bit preoccupied trying to get off the Chai Tea’s aftertaste. just look at Allan’s face when he was drinking it and see for yourself and you would catch my drift. it was terrible.hahaha.

after a few more laughs and trying to resolve Lance’s life’s many very complicated problems, my mom picked me up and we were home. we had dinner and i immediately went to bed, away with my dreams.

 

i absloutely loved this day. i got to spend time with the best people and let out some building tensions and frustrations.

i got to be true to the things i’m feeling, especially for you.

i hope you like my gift because i liked your answer.

Spur of the moment.

i apologize for my sucky entry yesterday and the soon to be lameness of today’s entry. hahaha. i’m not really into blogging tonight. the Biology homework ruined my day. i won’t expound on this matter anymore. let’s just say that looking up Gamma Globulins and Tricuspid Vavles isn’t my favorite way to end the day. i should be worrying myself with more pressing matters like Valentine’s Day/ S.A.D. hahahaha. 

hopefully, everything turns out well. 4 down, 5 more to go. 

another day of dullness for the SIIGE students. they decided to schedule all the practices to cover the entire day. this means that another day of lying down on the hard concrete all day, doing absolutely nothing(not entirely. but still. hahaha). excluding the time we went to the gym for the practice which by the way turned out to be quite fun. it was my first time joining the squad and i had to spend it with Raj and Jama both whom were very energetic but sometimes clueless about the whole thing.

there was also a time when a the 2B SIIGE students + Mel was asked to put uo the cloth thing for the bleacher design. we were so used to putting up the cloth that it only took us a few minutes to finish. we got to hang out there for a while. we had a very interesting discussion about smoking and drinking among peers. 

meron ba? feeling ko naman, wala eh. ;)

we also stopped by Earl and Jr’s post. this is where i discovered that i don’t have any talent on making paper aiplanes. hahahaha. maybe, my childhood wasn’t well balanced. i remember being surrounded by robots, not by working paper airplanes. hahaha. so sad.

anyway. during out time in the granstand, i was usually bored and when i’m not, those were probably the times we were playing our favorite memory game, giving each other massages, drawing funny fairy people or planning for tomorrow’s events. hahaha.

Kei insisted that we should bring board games, food, pillows to kill some time and some unwanted discomfort. hahahaha.

A day in the life of a sloth.

i’m very happy to say that the SIIGE students, besides the Math quiz, did absolutely nothing for the whole day. productive? not really. hahaha.

there was a scheduled field demo practice for the first two periods of the day. but we later found out that the practice was extended up until the period before lunch. i feel so bad for the regular P.E. people dancing their way through hell while waving tacky malongs to the tune of Magkaugnay  while the SIIGE people basically bummed around the Grandstand.

spending the day with 2B SIIGE guys was enjoyable, despite the heat. we spent hours playing ridiculously fun games. from guessing the first names of previous teachers and brands, we did them all. hahaha. i particulary enjoyed the connecting-words-then-tracing-them-back game. i know it might sound a bit intellectual yet also a bit childish at the same but once you get the hang of it, it becomes quite entertanining. hahaha. 

after our extended lunch, we had Filipino. the remaining minutes of Filipino was spent with our groups planning for the musical. 

Maria Makiling. GAWD?! hahahahaha. 

during Math, we had a quiz on variations. thank God, it was easy enough. you would know  since i usually suck at Math. hahahahaha.

i decided to go home earlier than everybody else. i got a feeling that i should start on some "stuff". for those who could catch my drift, atin atin nalang yun. hahahaha. after a short nap and quick dinner, i asked my lolo to drive me to Powerplant. some of the things i needed were easy enough to find but i couldn’t find one thing in my list. i shall look for one tomorrow.

T’was one hell of a ride.

excuse me for my lack of better words but i think the title would perfectly fit and describe my ohh so wonderful saturday.

to my disbelief, well not really, my saturday started very early. i had my mom drive me to CSA for props meeting. i was actually kinda late since we drove by mcdo for some much needed breakfast. tasting a sausage mcmuffin with egg after a day of abstinence was heaven! when i got there, Lisette, Iza, Guia were already starting with the windows. it was the same people all over again and one of them wasn’t even a part of our committee. sad ain’t it?! Lance and Kei arrived after a few minutes. we could of done a much better job with the windows if only we had properly working cutters(OC i know. hahaha), a team of old guys who coutldn’t find another place other than CSA to play some basketball, and lack of people. but i think, we did a fantastic job on the windows. accomplishment!? hahahaha.

while we were working, i noticed that there was a lack of cadets during COCC training and to add to that, Gela and Raf were heading the whole training. it was fun seeing them in charge. maybe it might be a glimpse of what could happen during 4th year or 3rd year even.

after we were done, Lisette provided a ride for us (me, Lance, Kei, Marc, Allan, including Lisette) to go to High Street. the ride there was kind hilarious. i couldn’t stop laughing with Marc’s and Kei’s usual comments. even Lisette’s mom and sister found us amusing. hahahaha. we decided to eat at Conti’s for lunch. one word..

funds! hahahahaha.

it was obvious that we had to wait for our tables with Contis’ being always jammed packed and all. we had fun while waiting for our tables outside. we had the usual discussions about everything under the sun. all the fun was ruined because of this lady-man being rude and all. we were sitting in the two rows outside Contis’ with our usual selves, mga malalaking harang at hambalang, with our feet all laid across what she/he calls a passagway. she actually goes up to us and said..

"excuse me, isn’t this a passageway."(notice the deep trying-to-be-a-guy voice with all sense of rudeness.) 

we quickly moved but when she got inside, it’s like all hell broke loose. we had all these manical thoughts running through our heads. it’s funnier than it seems. one of our plans was when she got out and passes the same way, we wouldn’t move but being brought up the right way and all(yes! hahahaha.), we politely shoved aside the whole situation. lesson learned, being rude will get you in a whole lot of trouble. buti nalang kami yun. kung hindi baka nasapak pa yun. hahahaha. after 10,000 years of waiting, we finally got our table.

and again, funds! hahahaha. nonetheless, we still had decent meals with minor drawbacks. we had a tiny, tiny table. we couldn’t move properly and the waiter was stubborn. they wouldn’t want to give in to Romano’s simple request with his prawns. all the while, we had a great time eating. we decided to eat off each other’s meals so we wouldn’t have to spend anymore money. hahahaha.

5 stars for their Fish and Chips. hahaha.

after lunch, we walked to Krispy Kreme for some needed sugar. i was disappointed with their Cookies and Cream donut. it didn’t taste right. coming from me that’s a huge surprise since i usually loved everything with Cookies and Cream. booooo. Allan had to say goodbye. he had some other stuff to take care of. the rest of us walked to this huge complex which i thought was Lisette’s mom’s office or something. i soon found out it was Lisette’s church. it was freaky in a good way. besides the escalators and elavators, canteens and bookstores, i found the people freaky as well, and again in a good way. they were very accommodating and friendy. we were a little out of place at first but we eventually got used to whole thing. i was jealous of Lisette for having all these friends outside school. i just realized about my lack of social life outside school. hahahaha. 

we hitched a ride with Sarah to the Philippine Army Field place. we got to meet a whole lot of other people who taught us the basics of frisbee. after a few throws, we eventually got to play our first actual(sort of) frisbee game. it was me, Romano, Kei, Lance and couple against Lisette and a whole bunch of people.

it was better than i expected it to be. the game was both tiring and fun. i noticed that we got the hang of it pretty quickly. Marc was the most enthusiastic about the whole thing. he was diving all over tha place. hahahaha. out team won 3-2. beginner’s luck. hahahaha. 

i was a bit hesitant about the whole frisbee thing but once we started to have fun, we thought about inviting other 2B people to try it out. (yes! member?! hahahaha.) i would love to see them running around a humongous field. hihi.

after a while, Kei and Marc had to go and the people started packing up. we hitched a ride going back to the complex thing. we freshened up and left for High Street. Romano, Lance, and i decided to get our coffee fix at Starbucks in Fully Booked, a.k.a Heaven on Earth. i enjoyed everything about the place. having a coffee shop in a bookstore is a genius idea. hahahaha. drinking your favorite latte while browsing through a bajillion books was delectable. hahaha. we stayed in the General History and Philosophy area for the longest time. after a while, Romano had to go. me and Lance stayed behind and looked through more books. one book caught my eye. it was the Tao of Pooh. something about it was very much intriguing. i shall save up and buy.

we went down to wait for Lance’s parents but when we got there, there were police squads everywhere. i wasn’t polite as i hoped to be when i asked them..

"bakit po kayo nandito?" hahahahaha. where’s my manner? hahaha. *wink*

they kindly replied that PGMA was in Serendra. ohhhhh.

Lance’s parents arrived soon after. we went to Burger King at Glorietta when Tita found out that we haven’t had our dinner yet. it was fun hanging out with the Garcias outside the confinement of their car. hahaha. they always had the funniest stories to tell.

after a very sleepy drive. i was home.

 

this was one of the best saturdays i’ve ever had.

i consider myself blessed to have spent it with the best people.

too bad only a few people came. maybe next time?

 

but now i have Valentines to worry about.
