Life is Wonderful by Jason Mraz

It takes the one to have the other.

this song is a savior to guy who desperately needs some optimism right about now.

i've been catching up on some Jason Mraz. i know that his songs are not as trendy as other songs out there but his songs are just so catchy. and i'm such a sucker for feel-good songs. so if you're in need of some light music with witty lyrics thrown in, Jason Mraz is the way to go.

school has been unbelievaby exhausting, considering that we're only 4 days in from our break. it takes alot out of a guy. (i'm sure many of my classmates could easily relate.) everytime i get home, i find myslef lying in bed for a few minutes and instantly dozing off. after realizing i've been asleep for a couple of hours, i immediately run around the house trying to finish homeworks that are due the following day.

i'm just so worn out.

anyway. today started out fairly slow. the moment i sat in my chair and laid my head down on my jacket, i slept straight away. it seems that 8 hours of sleep isn't enough for this insomniac. our computer teacher was absent so we got stuck with a boring, old seatwork some of us had no clue on aswering.

boycott nalang ba, Guia? hahaha.

thanks to Eric's insane knowledge for everything under the sun, we got the seatwork done. MATH was insanely boring. i know i can understand, i just need to keep my brain from falling asleep, atleast for one more hour. recess kinda sucked, i didn't like food.

fish and gravy doesn't seem to go well together. sad no?

stat was spent giving out test scores, discussing the lesson, evaluation and trying to make a code name. it's pretty obvious what mine is. bio was interesting enough. evolutions seems to be a very enticing topic. lunch then was spent trying to find a decent research topic. unsuccessful, we decided to just meet over YM and try to figure everything out.

english, particularly Amistad, gets more and more hard to comprehend and refuse. it's just so fascinating. CLE was ok, i guess? and RHGP was fun. the different groups were tasked to come up with our ideal setting for a date, our ideal date and our expectations.

"at the beach enjoying a candle-lit dinner, while gazing at the stars, drinking champagne while our feet buried in the sand" hahaha.

we decided to stay by the classroom after classes. Kei's pasta was yummy! too bad Earl ate all the chicken. i spent dismissal with the usual plant box people. 

Lance's mom asked us if we, Trixie and I, wanted to hitch a ride. so we did. it always seems to be the most practical choice since the bus wasn't there yet and i hate trying to get seats! people there are so damn pushy. haha. so riding with the Garcia's are always great fun. they had food and lot of funny stories to tell.

Research topics are due tomorrow. hopefully, the groups do well.

Research is so damn taxing.

why does rest and relaxation seem to be a farfetched and distant reality?

maybe it is..  

 

 

ON AMISTAD

i really wanted to share with you guys my thoughts on the movie Amistad.

since we only got a few minutes into the movie when the time ran out, i took the time looking for the synopsis of the movie.

Sr. Manaay's opening question is: "Can violence be justified?" (something like that)

and my opinion is no. i believe that violence can never be justified even in the worst circumstances, may it be an argument with a peer or being taken hostage in a boat and being forced into slavery. in any situation, violence should never be the answer. furthermore(yes!),  violence can never be justified since it is morally incorrect. never in the history of any community has violence been accepted.

violence is such a disruptive force that even when a dispute has been resolved, it finds a way through the loopholes of life and starts a new one.

violence as a whole idea somehow instills intrigue and disturbace in me.

and to contradict everything that i just said, i found this as the tagline of the movie:

"Freedom is not given. It is our right at birth. But there are some moments when it must be taken."

nonetheless i would never take back the things i just said.

so screw you, Steven Spielberg! hahaha.

 that was just one of the highlights of my day.

being back in the 2B classroom was both a burden and a joy. it was fun going back to the usual chit-chat routine, it was only morning and i'm already breaking a sweat laughing at Pat's stories of Mindanao. haha

after english, we had music. music was a bland. we were made to listen to classics and figure out which composer created the song. it was difficult at first but when you get to know the composer and the kinds of music they play, it gets easier figuring out which is which. then cle and science went by a bit slow. 

lunch was fulfilling in everyway. thanks to Lance's animal impressions and our ka-Jologsan. haha

hahahaha.

filipino was very taxing all because of the PT scores given to us. thank God that Math was a reliever, sort of? our papers were handed out and i was very pleased with my score. makabawi lang. hahaha. then Sr. started to discuss inequalities, that's when it started to get *blaahhh*. activity hour was even more *blaaaahhh* Sr. Regmalos didn't prepare any new piece for us so we got stuck doing nothing. i decided to start on my Biology homework but couldn't finish since Trixie and Lisette were talking about some interesting stuff, so i decided to join in. soon the bell rang.

and school was over. 

the bus came surprisingly early since it usually came at around 4:30. me and Trixie decided to hitch the early bus and head for home. the bus ride was long but just enough for best friends to spill-out two weeks worth of kwentos. it was fun talking to bestfriend again.  

when i got home i immediately asked my lolo to drive me to the barbershop to get my haircut. after a few trims and painful scratches, i decided to stopover at Mcdonalds to get something to eat.

i didn't like the food at home..

Tinola. hahahaha.

 

 

 

NOT AGAIN

ok. i'll make this as quick as possible. 

i spent yesterday at San Juan in the company of overly eager Pinoy Big Brother fans.

it was a big upset for me. i would have wanted Gaby to win. oh well.

today, i watched two different movies in two different malls, Glorietta & Powerplant.

the Bee Movie was..

for kids.

Sakal Sakali Saklolo was..

very enticing. surprisingly, i got into the story, unlike other MMFF movies.

ok. i need to convince myself that there's school tomorrow.

i need to convince myself that 3 more months of..

stressfull days &

sleepless nights.

snap out of it.

HELLO Y’ALL

hello y’all. hahahaha.

sorry i’ve been away for awhile. i’ve been attending to other things. more important things? not really. haha.

December 31, 2007 (New Year’s Eve)

we had an early dinner that night since we knew we still had to stuff our faces with the usual Media Noche menu. spaghetti, fruit salad, and tempura? hahaha. i know it might sound weird to you, but my family seems to enjoy it, soo what the heck?! haha. my family and i  decided to stay at our house this year unlike our neighbors who unlike us had to be elsewhere, leaving us all alone for the night.

boo. haha. my cousins had a blast with the fireworks. i decided to back-off and watch since i never had a knack those things. i know! butterfingered. hahaha. anyway. i still had fun watching from the sideline. it was fun watching the awsome fireworks and cheering people at the stroke of the new year. everybody was jumping around, being all mushy and hugging and kissing.

when everything settled down we had our yummy Media Noche. started to call relatives abroad. it was fun talking to them, hearing muffled cheers in the background was sort of uplifting. why? i dunno. haha. after that everybody started to leave. while my the usual me stayed up until 4 in the moring-ish. INSOMNIA! why?

January 1 2008 (Happy New Year)

woke up freakishly early for the Mass @ St. Andrew. i knew i was very much grumpy at that time, so much for new beginnings.hahaha. anyway. sorry to anyone who might find me rude and offensive, and rude. but i kept laughing at the priest who presided the mass. maybe not at him directly but at the things he made us do. things that were too embarrassing to mention.

we had an awsome lunch and headed for San Juan for the usual family get-together. i was happy to know that the fued was finally over. everybody made up and everything seems to be looking up. hopefully? i was alone for a couple of hours, fighting my way through broken buttons and a virus in my laptop. damn.

we said our goodbyes. and rode home.

FIIINNNAAALLYYYY!

this day came. call me materialistic and child-ish but this is the day i’m FINALLY getting my..

NINTENDO DS LITE!

my mom and i, along with some cousins, went to Greenhills to go DS-hunting. hahaha. why Greenhills? considering that we live way way way in Makati. well, my mom said its much more practical since its cheaper there. yun lang yung habol eh?! haha. after 30 min. of aimless wandering, we ended up in a store which had it @ 10.1K. it was a good package since it included alot of accessories. and GAMES! 

overly ECSTATIC! minsan lang toh. hahaha.

this is the reason why i was unreasonably late. 

sorry guys. oo na, isa na akong malaking L! hahahaha.

i caught up with 2B inside the movie theatre. thank God for Lance for buying me the ticket. i was surprised that we’re gonna watch Desperadas  i was hoping to watch something else, to tell you quite honestly. hahaha. i knew that the movie was gonna be.. *blah*. but no, it exceeded all my expectations and more. it was kinda second-rate, and gay. hahaha. i had fun seeing and hearing all our reactions (especially Kei’s, Lance’s and Enrico’s) to particular scenes in the movie. i think our maturity level is not apt for that particular movie, yet?! hahaha.

after THE movie. we, well they, ate while i watched. i wasn’t that hungry at the time, not even for a Blizzard. weird? i know. anyway. i still had a laugh with 2B. it was a joy seeing them that day. it was fun having the usual nonsensical chats about everything there is to talk about. hahaha. after answering some suggestion thingys, a couple of games @ Timezone. my mom picked me up. and then we went home.

HOOORRAAAYY for this day. i got to see the Nerds and i got to meet new people.

not so tipical day at home. it wasn’t boring to say the least. i’ve been tapping my day to the mind-boggling tests of Brain Age. hahaha. and the world of POKEMON DIAMOND!

CHILD-ish? HELL YEAH! haha.

now, i must go. it’s 7 minutes till’ midnight.

and i got some DSing(as quoted from Mr. Earl) to do.
