brew me a love potion

July 13, 2007

* A WORD OF CAUTION, this entry would likely focus on the Harry Potter -subject , mind you I am a self-proclaimed fanatic, so to anyone who thinks otherwise, in the words of Ron…

PISS-OFF!

but to everybody else, welcome!(haha) this week's been one of the best i had so far. schools been school. i've been enjoying the recent lectures. especially English II(haha) and Social II. the epic of Gilgamesh suits my taste in stories. the usual cliche of the battle of evil versus good. the downfalls and mishaps. especially the part about the gods and goddesses. like it alot. then social's been quite interesting. during commentaries. i liked the part when sr. talked about the history of korea and other neighboring countries.(haha)

moving on…

HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX!

i've been anticipating that movie since the last one. even before July i've been planning how to catch the movie since it was on a school night and i hold it off until the weekend(addict?! yes.) i caught the movie around 8:30 at rockwell.

BEST DAMN MOVIE EVER!

agree with me or not(i really don't give…) reading the book over and over again, i never imagined it to be the way it is portrayed in the movie. the action scenes were FANTASTIC! the visuals was (speechless) loved DUMBLEDORE's ARMY members. especially…

LUNA LOVEGOOD

she was freakishly WEIRD and freakishly CUTE too.(haha)

everything about the movie was PERFECT! especially the fight scenes, (gosh) the spells and Death Eaters  ricocheting everywhere. STUPEFY,REDUCTO,LEVICORPUS! the best! and the part when harry and Sirius was dueling side by side. THE BEST! too bad he had to die though. (anyhoo.)

LOVED THIS MOVIE! BEST OUT OF THE 5!

Final Thoughts: since the movie, i find myself wandering the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. so if i seem a little odd a couple of times a day, pardon.

SCHOOL WAS HARSH

the day started out pretty EMO-ISH. we went down to attend the opening ceremony of the Sandigan Exibit. t'was ok, before i saw the pictures. it was sooo DEPRESSING. i know the NERDS ca relate. then we went back up. just to find out my score was bluuuh.

science was kinda fun. the lesson was kinda interesting. but the fun really started after recess…

BADMINTON SIIGE!

YEY!

the usual badminton people was there. JR,ENRICO,KEI,ICE. it was super fun. we had this orientation thing. recap of everything that we had to know, like the Court thingys. things like that. then we had a freakin' LONG stretching. conditioning since i hadn't played all summer. usual exercises. it was HOT! thank God for 2 electricfans. (haha) played doubles after ME and ENRICO VS. JR,KEI. then mixed doubles ME AND ICE VS. JR AND CHESKA…

LOST 2 TIMES! (waaa!)

then worked on my math hw durig lunch. ICE was heaven-sent. she helped me through everything i needed help on. then english. english was same old. fun. i liked the games sr. manaay usually comes up with. we had this game about MESOPOTAMIA.(panic! didn't read a single page) anyways, didn't get called. and again, still didn't get called to SING!

SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST, ANYONE?! (haha)

again i panicked coz'(hehe) the photographer-manong started calling for people to get their ID pics taken. (haha.) looked like CRAP! then math class came along…

i thought for a second that the QUIZ was gonna be moved to next week or something. WRONG! it was HELL! i admit that i was confident on page1, but the tides turned when i got to page2. (haha) i was staring at it for like 5min just to comprehend what the hell was on my paper. i thing i answered some of the number right. but still! i can't shake-off that feeling. people was starting to freakout. laughing coz' they didn't knew the answers. people complaining(really loud) it was both relieving and annoting. trying to concentrate while everybody was WHAAAAAT?! and relieving in the sense that it gives you comfort that you're not the only one having a hard time. anyways.

went home really early. rode the bus filled WITH KIDS! they were really LOUD. good thing i slept for a few min. then arrived home.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

        OFFICIALLY ANTI-MATH.

kinda sad. coz' i used to love math.(oh well)

just goes to show that nothing really lasts.

TALK IT OUT

Lance:

uh.. update?:))

ten:

hi jones!!!

Josefina.:

the lyrics make for a beautiful poem. how i wish my pc’s sound device would work already!

Sette:

waaa. love that song. :p

ten:

like kei, i’m a fan of both. but i can’t deny that HP is more well-written than the twilight series. :P but then again both of them got me hooked.

Josefina.:

it’s all a matter of opinion, really. some like HP, some prefer Twilight, the rest may like some other book or series. the comparisons are all quite subjective. that’s how it is, i suppose. doesn’t change anything. :P

Kei:

haha. i’m a fan of both series, so there’ no bias in my opinion. all i can say is how can a series at the top of this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_books#Claims_of_at_least_100_million_copies not trump a series not even on this list? oh well, maybe someday. :D

eaarl:

jones, reading your blog makes me miss those long entries. haha. anyway..

Josefina.:

sorry i bestowed a litany upon your chatbox. guess i should’ve posted on the comments area instead. teehee. :)

Josefina.:

you might’ve anticipated that i wouldn’t NOT comment — being a HARDCORE FAN(ATIC) of something would, most possibly affect your opinion on things other than what you’re drooling over. so, let fanatics speak of what they love, and NOT throw crap about what other people love, just because it’s different. and, no, i don’t think Twilight emphasizes on crap about controlling boyfriends and detachment from humanity — obviously, the hardcore HP fanatic merely scratched the surface. Twilight’s actually about the complexities of love, the complexities THAT GO with loving someone, and the strength and potency that love holds, regardless of its victim — at least, according to me. yes, that sounded CORNY, and yes, vampires, as far as the real world can tell, do not exist. but that’s my two cents in. fathom THAT! :P

Lance:

I like the layout:D

ten:

I missed you and I will miss you too. <3

ten:

500 people you meet in hell. First time ko marinig yun ah. It sounds interesting. haha! I might buy it. yess…you sold the book to me, jones!

Josefina.:

heey, keep in mind that I’m a friend who listens to friends’ problems, too! let’s trade sides whenever you may need to. :)

Josefina.:

magfi-feeling ako: if that message is for me, thank you very much. I’m blessed to have such beautiful, loving friends. cradle to grave. :)

Ice:

computer crap XD

chii:

HAHAHA! gets kita! yung sa mass. 10am kami. nagyon lang ata kami umupo sa harap dahil walang tao! :) ))

chii:

HAHAHA. Yes besh. I-shall-not-speak-anymore was my thing last Fri :) )))

Josefina.:

friendship thing IS going on overdrive. it’s that time of year. I’m really blessed to have friends like you and the gang. :)

chii:

best, parties are fuuun. SOMETIMES. hahaha! :) )
