A Rainbow of Nerds

-this blog is dedicated to my nerds. love you guys.

 

 What is a rainbow? A rainbow is an array of different colors, shades, and hues. In different cultures, it represents an assortments of beliefs. It may represent wealth, hope, love. But for me, 1A is my rainbow.

 When I found out that i was gonna be in the pilot class, i was puzzled yet excited. I heard alot of things about those kinds of classes. They stuffed all the kids with the brightestminds of the batch in one class. I was puzzled for the reason that i knew there were alot of smart students in our batch. But i was also excited because i knew my bestfriend was gonna be there. When I first looked inside the classroom, i was instantly intimidated seeing familiar faces inthe room. I saw all the top students in the batch. I was a little hesitant in entering the room, because i knew that our adviser was going to be Mrs. Suplente. She was a busmate, and knew her to be kinda mataray. But relief came when I saw Trixie enter the room(kinda late) but still.

 

As time passed, something unexpected happened. We got closer to one another? It came to a surprise to me because I knew that there will be alot of competition between us academically. But we fought throught that. We settled our differences and found something in each other which I still cant explain that made us closer. It may sound cliche but I think we really did become a family. We spent almost all of our time with each other. During lunch, recess, practices, lakwa, saturdays, sundays, starbucks, you name it. I cant really explain it, but there is something with these people that I love.

 

I just love spending my time with them talking about uncanny things you may not here from a bunch of teenagers. Its kinda weird but sometimes we may come up with heated debates about the world. And sometimes, you might here us talk about meaningless stuff, but still find it fun. But these meaningless chats, make my day with them worthwhile.

 

And through our bonds, we had the guts to become "self-proclaimed" NERDS. We gave a whole new meaning to the word NERD. He/She is not only smart in a freakish way. He/She is talented in many apsects of their lives. NERDS can excell in sports,arts,music, everything. He/She can be good at everything but still maintain a social life! That's what 1A is all about. To excel in everything but not be excluded by society. To excel in everything but still be humble about it. To excel in everything without compromising the hapiness of others.

 

1A is an array of different people. These are people with different beliefs, goals, personalities. Yes, they maybe different in alot of ways, but they made an impression on me that will last forever. For me, these group of people represent wealth… wealth in terms of friendship.. in terms of knowledge…in term of love. These people had different goals but had one common goal… to make the most out of everything they have and everyone they're with. They also represent love. Love for friends, family, talents, dreams and ambitions… and education. I think you would all agre with me, Mami Eden succeeded in her mission. She succeeded in noyt only creating Intellectual Giants… but Intellectual Giants with Gigantic Hearts. You know i cant put into writing what i feel about each and everyone of you, soo i'll try it anyways…. Thanks…

Anywhere Dreamgirl…

whoo!! these 2 days were frantic,hectic,pyschotic(?),problematic,supersonic. those are all the "ic" words i can think of that describes these last 2 days.

yesterday was hell!!! we had our Social Longtest that was blah blah!! i didnt think i answered anything correctly! wahaha. goodbye exemption! fudge!!! the whole day was kinda blah blah!!! the only good part of the day was practicing for the english play. I LOVE IT!! I love acting and everybodies attention on me( a little more about it later) haha. bsta love acting.  then went to the side of the theatre with trixie to spend some quality time with the nerds. haha. but when we got there thats the only thing we didnt get. tooo much draa happening between their group. haha. sccaaarry?! but ok lang. thy got over it naman and continued….i tried to get some hw done but my efforts were futile. haha. because i spent my whole night cramming trying to finish my homeworks! haha.

todday. was surprisingly better! yey. i was lively-ish during the morn. haha. maybe becuase it was our day to shine!!! haha. our groups going to perform in English na. but before that. research..dun dun dun! haha (drama effect) we had to defend our paper. me, cayrone, carlo did an ok job?! well.. haha!!! i was feeling the vibe when i was asked to introduce our report. yey. haha love speaking up front!! haha. play time. we were preparing like crazy. haha. he butterflies started to arrive?! haha. but i was more excited that nervous. haha. the performance for me was great. haha. the practices realy paid off… yey for us! congrats to my groupmates!! really proud of us!!! weee. social was boring as usual. math was ok. i got plus two in my quiz!!! wee… haha. i spen time n nmn with the nerds. really cool having them around you. you hear random stuff al around yu like Jr's dirty jokes! ivan's corny jokes. romano fighting with someone. haha. bsta super fun mix of people. hehe. then wehadfilipino where we found out that earl lost our sulatin! wahaha!! okie lang, i did another kanina. kaya okie lang! science was fun!! i love playing with the tirril burner. haha. we had a bunch of experiment thingy ma bobs. haha super aliw! music was ok i guess. did another performance. haha. super bangag during music. then ate ice cream with trixie and lance then went home na… haayy

another day has gone, another day begins.  whatever the future brings, we just got to face it head on! wohoo!!!

2 Weeks to Go

—(March 12, 2007)—

this was your not so usual day. haha. arrived at school with a very mushy?! feeling. haha. studied math agad. cuz i kinda got that feeling that the Match quiz is gonna be hell(more info later). went down to the FC. our last FC by the way. huhu?! right from the start i knew that this FC is gonna be sentimental ang touchy touchy?! haha. sir abodiles started talking about the year. he praised us for being a really "cooperative" batch. he then talked about our achievments during the year. awww. really senti. its our last FC for the year.. damn!!! time really flies!!!

anyways. had our PT in badminton. haha. kinda got an ok score?! haha. played doubles. i dont remember who won. haha. had recess then studied like hell in mah!!! when the quiz started my mind went………………… totaly blank!!!! didnt know wat happened after like 15min i was still staring at the questions!! wahaha!! soo much for exemption!!! english was really fun cuz we only watched performances from different groups. haha. Raf'f group were first. haha. super aliw considering they were all guys! haha. props to eric and raf. they played their part really well. then Earl's group was next up. cool. haha. i loved jo in the play!!! she really got in to the part…super cool!! congrats guys!!! hung out with the nerds lunch time. we all studied for the quiz in cle.

Cle was kinda scaarrry? sir got angry becuase we were noisy daw?! haha/ no worries. science was alryte. we didnt push through with the quiz cuz we ran out of time. haha. yey for us. CLUB time was hell. it was sooo freakin boring. grrr. i know it might sound harsh. but its true. some parts of the club i like. hanging out with my friends and singig. thats it?! Grr.. kinda pissed cuz i chose this club. should have tried out for chorale nalang. wahaha!!! it was that boring. they made us do this skit thing… i didnt do anything. just read my Cave and Shadows. haha. yey for me. then went to our usual spot beside the theatre. haha. then went home na with trixie and lance. haha

soo it was a rollercoaster day… *sigh*

Congrats Nerds

 We had our Championship Game the other day. Mixed Volleyball. we were up against 1D. the game was really intense and very tiring. i was part of the first and second set! wohoo!! 2 consecutive sets in a row. i was like blahhh when it was done na. i wanna gove props to all the nerds who played. ROMANO-AYANA-JO-GELA-ENRICO-ROMAN-ME-KAT. they did an amazing job. the team was a little tipsy tumbly at first. but thanks to Romano's advice and the crowds cheer. we were able to make up for it. KUDOS to Romano cuz he was the reason why we got this far. super galing ng mga spikes nya. tpos very tough player tlaga.  weee!!! we won the 1st Set. it was a really close fight over all. but sadly we lost. but hey?! at least we got it this far in the competition. considering we're NERDS!!! haha. anyways. CONGRATS 1A!!!

Today was very monotonous. it was really repetative and BORING!!! science was kinda ok?! we had fun with the experiments with the tirril burner. haha. nerds love fire!!! butit was SCORCHING HOT!!! DAMN!!! haha. english was kinda boring… really boring topic. we had a quiz in MAth. i did alright considering that i only studied this morning. haha!! yey for me. social was…. BORING beyond COMPREHENSION!!! haha. then Filipino was really fun. Mrs. Musnni with her deeper that usual words are very funny. haha. listte sung Kastilyong Buhangin! haha. go Mami!!! then had our CLE LT. it was ok i guess?! haha. hope i did good.

me and trixie went home early. this is one of the few parts of the day i enjoy. just me and trixie, talking about random stuff and never running out of topics to talk about. haha. love you best!!!

gotta sleep na. i have english practice tom! then if i can, might watch the 300 with the nerds!!! wohoo!!

It has been a long time…

wow. can believe its been this long since i blogged. haha. its been a really long, tiring, STRESSFUL 2 weeks! wohhoo.. it was a week filed with activities, long tests!!! ( English LT was HELL) (Filipino too..waha!) (Science was kinda easy.. :p) alot of quizzes… wahaha!! some of which i know i sucked!!

but relief came when it was our free/ outreach day! the trip goung there was kinda boring. i cound't use my ipod becuase of obvious reasons. haha. really funny cuz i lead the prayer for the first time. wee!! haha. cuz nobody wanted to lead soo stuff started to come out of my mouth na without me knowing it. haha!! anyways…the trip there was again boring because the girls weren't there with us. there weren't any camwhoring going on, on the bus. haha. we just ate alot of people. tnx to michael. hehe. that was the only good part of the whole trip. laughs with romano and carlo. hehe

when we got there we started to work right away. i was in lance's group. we were the floor managers. haha. but kinda helped out in cleaning other stuff also. cleaning the floor was soo cool! haha nag enjoy kami?! haha. kamusta nman un!? haha. we were all sweating like pigs after. you could tell that we were all tired becuase when it was time for a snack we practically fought for those drinks. haha. after that the kids were allowed to enter the room na. haha. there expression was like wow. haha. they were really happy and to be honest. it was a really great feeling. all your hard work put smiles on there faces. can you believe it we created a room into a classroom! wow. the before and fter was really noticable. we put up cure spongebob curtains, we provided them with education materials like posters, art materials.

then we had our interaction with the kids. kuya marc and ate melissa told us a funny story! haha. it seemed like the kids really enjoyed it. we had a coloring activity with the kids. super fun! haha. i almost colored everything for her. haha. left messages in her coloring book so she can remember me.. well?! haha. really sweet kid. her name was Cristina!! sosy?! haha

the trip going to Mcdo was ok, i guess?! haha. it was really hot!!! i dont even think we rode an air conditioned bus eh?! haha. we were in Mcdo along Quezon Ave. we got there it was jamed pack wit alot of people. we kinda had to line up for a long time. then JR spilt some OJ pa. haha!! i ate like a mad man!!! i was really hungry kc eh. i sat with the rowmates. my best. and jeanine and iza. haha.. the eating was fun?! haha. we were really loud!!! actually the other table was really loud. the people started looking. haha. anyways. it was beacuse of there corny jokes which continued up to the bus. earl kept making up jokes with LEE in it?! haha. dunno why!!! haha. kinda funny… super corny!!! haha.

we got there and did the boring evaluation thingy again…grrr.. the rest of the time. me and ayana listened to my ipod. then almost all the nerds went to starbucks. haha. going there was really funny cuz Kat and Lance kept on ringing the doorbells. so we had to like run for our lives. haha. super fun. but really tiring! haha. *wheh* we got there and there was no one in starbucks…haha. but a minute later there was like 24 NERDS there!!! there was no place sit na. the guard had to put the table and chairs from outside inside so we can like all sit down. haha. super fun!

 

then we went to the KPCC stage. haha. super fun talking to the Nerds!! kinda got ewww when we started to talk about you know what. haha. still fun. and really interesting talking about that fascinating subject. haha. then we went home na…. I really love hanging out with the Nerds!!! they're a bunch of people with different personalities, different TRIP!!! haha. but ung mga minds namin mag kakalevel on some instances. haha!! love them all!!
